Some advert I saw on the internet thought it was quite amusing.

Type: Toilet

Someone must of been bored
+Good idea to relate word to process of delivery
-Think they should of consider the layout of the photograph at the beginning, feel it looks a bit clumsy at the end how the effort had gone into making the type but the final resolution from the camera seems clumsy.

Think this is pretty interesting to look up at Fonts
+Could spend a while looking at every typeface but at the present moment I have got time
*Look again when have more spare time*

this is something I've always wanted to try out using type to fit almost like skin graph.
-However I'm glad I've seen the outcome to get a rough idea how it would turn out and I'm not to keen on the idea. Think I've saved some time by finding these images.

Type: Wave

Image from www.graphic-design-blog.com
Not sure who by?
+Like the way the water is used to represent the wave
-Not sure how this would of been made, will have to ask somebody for future reference
? Not to sure about the person holding it up seems alot of people are using this as a photo shoot at the minute.

Image & Type: Vladstudio

Vladstudio
+Bold type used and colours
-Hard to read for smaller countries.
Interesting however to look at
+Looks like type has been torn to the shape of the countries.

Image & Type: Helvetica

Found this on the internet but not sure who it was by, but really like the idea of Helvetica representing Hollywood. Looks well put together. Really Effective.
Not sure why is it meant to represent Hollywood maybe thats where the gallery is? If I find out I will explain...

Type & Image: Hubba Bubba

Hubba Bubba billboard
+The use of the billboard as the product that is being sold is hanging off the billboard.
Chewing gum advert.

Type: Julia Sonmi Heglund

Julia Sonmi Heglund
Really getting into hand drawn type, think this image gives it that raw look when the biro is used to fill in areas but leaves the biros mark on the paper. Hand drawn is something unique I feel that cannot be repeated exactly the same.

Type: Oliver Dunn

Oliver Dunn
Ex LCAD
+Like the way the symbol is used to represent the word
+Like the bright colours used in the motivation image as the are vibrant and exciting and fun, makes you want to work.

Image & Type: Nick Cobby

Stealth Flyers
Like the use of image and type similar layout used in each one but using a different subject. For Stealth nightclub in Nottingham my favourite being the google map flyer.

Image: Flychelangelo

Flychelangelo
Artist using dead flies to represent people as stick men
I find this interesting and quite humorous

Image & Type: Barred in Birmingham 1904

Taken from Sky pictures thought they were pretty interesting to look at as a collection and interesting to read and compare to the technology used these days.

Image: Antony Gormley

Antony Gormley has placed 31 figures of himself cast in iron and fibre around roof top ledges in New York and the local police have had to respond to ten calls fearing someone was about to jump to commit suicide. I like this image just because of the story behind it.

Type & Image: Oriol Fernandez Tur

This style of illustration of the image and type isn't my cup of tea. Not really a big fan of the kind of illustration especially used on the monsters face. I prefer more bold and harsher colours than these calm contents used here.
*However I like the way the type is layered in front of each other

Reminds me of surf/skate style of illustration with the use of so many hands developing from each other. Also this could of probably made a nice lino-cut print with the different weights of details in the image.
Maybe look into the facilities to produce lino-cuts at college?

Type: Chris Osment

Like the idea of creating own typography shapes but also is quiet hard to make out what it says.
All it is replacing the skeleton of a typeface with common simple shapes.

This piece appeals to me because I can appreciate the time gone into making the hand made scene and typography, and because its hand made it has more character than if the same image was produced on a Computer.

Image & Type: Rime

Rime
Like the sharp illustration- almost one off lines- also flat colour with bold outlines.

Image: Sound Systems - Bikes

Sound Systems on Bikes
Think they look good as images - interesting to look at and shows someone elses culture/ lifestyle how they live compared to people in England.
